Criminal liability Slavery
Article 321 criminalises the practice of slavery and punishes this crime with up to 7 years of imprisonment.
Article 321. Whoever brings into or takes out of Qatar a person as a slave, or buys, sells, or donates a person as a slave, shall be liable to imprisonment of a term not exceeding seven years.

The Penal Code sets out a number of provisions making it a criminal offence to abduct, detain or deprive any person of their freedom, to deal in slaves or to force a person to work. It also criminalizes a number of practices that tend to be connected to human trafficking, such as money laundering or fraud.
