Article 354 criminalises fraud through the use of a false identity or by impersonating another.

Article 354. Whoever fraudulently or falsely personates another, and in such assumed character, seizes for themselves or others, movable assets, debt receipt, or cancels, spoils or modifies this bond by using fraudulent means, assuming a false name or a fake character in a way to delude the victim shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years.

The Penal Code sets out a number of provisions making it a criminal offence to abduct, detain or deprive any person of their freedom, to deal in slaves or to force a person to work. It also criminalizes a number of practices that tend to be connected to human trafficking, such as money laundering or fraud.
