Bangladesh
Minimum wage
No Employer or Contractor shall pay wages less than minimum wage, once set. If an Employer or Contractor pays wages less than the minimum wage, the concerned employee may claim additional 50% of the balance amount as additional compensation from the Employer or Contractor.

The Bangladesh Labour Rules 2015 introduced certain rules to supplement the provisions of the Labour Act 2006, relating to, among others, minimum wages, working hours, health and safety, child labour, bonuses, misconduct and punishment, service rules etc. The Rules are intended to better conform to International Labour Organisation standards for worker welfare, health and safety and are primarily aimed at workers other than those in managerial, supervisory and administrative roles.
